PL is an educational consulting firm specializing in mathematics instruction and learning, implementing 21st century skills in K-12 classrooms, successfully incorporating technology in mathematics lessons, developing and writing mathematics curriculum, and creating and using hands-on activities and projects that engage students and create enthusiasm for mathematics.

Fred Hollingshead can help you, your school, and your district reach your goal of implementing a rich, active, and meaningful curriculum which aligns to the new Common Core State Standards. Fred is an instructional math coach currently serving middle and high school teachers. He has served on the Kansas state math standards review committee, the Kansas Association of Teachers of Mathematics board of directors, and has presented at the state, regional, and national level.

His current projects include:

* Presenting at the Kansas State Department of Education's Summer Academies helping math teachers, schools, and districts across Kansas transition to the CCSS
* Facilitating a Technology Rich Classroom grant to implement 180 iPad 2's in six 7th/8th grade math classrooms
* Designing and implementing a 7-12 CCSS-aligned Project Based mathematics curriculum
* And helping to design an intervention math class for middle and high schools
